During the coronavirus pandemic, things have been very different. I can no longer go to the supermarket with my Mum or to the movies and swimming pool for my lessons.
Now I have to do my ballet lessons on a video call with my teacher and other girls in my grade.
I miss my friends a lot, but we can still do video calls on our chromebooks.
Mum insists on listening to the 1 o’ clock update on the radio!
My Dad is still working because he is an essential worker!
I live on a dairy farm so me and my brothers can go bike riding around the farm. We have been making lots of bike tracks in the past weeks and we have been going down to the river at the back of our farm. A few weeks ago we had a BBQ on the beach. We cooked sausages over the fire. It was so much fun! School work at home is very different from normal school. We have a different teacher (Mum) and I work at the same table with my brothers. It's kind of odd because one of them is a year 8 and the other is a year 12 and I'm only a year 6!
I can't wait to go back to school and Greymouth!!!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Rebecca. This time does make us appreciate different things doesn't it, like having time to be outside making bike tracks with both your brothers, but also missing friends and being able to hop in the car and go to town for lots of different activities.
ReplyDeleteI have liked having the time to try things like making Sourdough bread (which you have to feed for a few days before you can bake with it) and reading books I never got around to reading : )
