Animals VS Bulldozers   

One day deep in the jungle the animals were sleeping. Bonnie the elephant was relaxing with Ali the tiger. Suddenly they heard a loud noise, it was a scary Bulldozer! The animals were getting scared Bonnie and the other animals started running for their lives.They ran for a while and then they heard a deep voice. It was a large hippo with a sword, he looked really scary. Then they realised it was one of their friends. The Hippo toddled towards the animals and shouted “ I AM THE KING!”. The animals were frightened and backed away from the ‘KING’. Then Bonnie shouted “You are not the king we all are one so then are NOT THE KING”. The hippo was sad this was the first time someone stood up to him! The hippo said “Your choice, if you can’t make me your King then no need for you!”. “LOCK HIM UP!!!”. But before the hippo could do anything the other animals stood in front of Bonnie and Bonnie started running away followed by the

others. Then after running for a while it came to an end. Bonnie thought if he wants to save his friends he has to protect them. Soon they found a nice jungle with a pond and everything. Now the group of animals will live happily ever after.

The Runaway Llama

One day a llama was munching on some lush grass. When he heard his horrible owners shouted.

“NO, that stupid alpaca thing IS leaving we need the MONEY!!”. The llama was shocked and he saw them coming towards his pen so he licked the latch on the gate and ran for his life. He managed to get away just in time, and he came to a little farm. He slowly walked up the driveway to the house and as he reached the house a girl came out who looked about nine years old. “Mum can we please keep him, I have always wanted a Llama”. Said the girl.

“ Well yes sure Sarah, but he could be someone else's”. Replied her Mum. The girl agreed, but walked him to the paddock behind the house and fed him some hay, water and gave him a big pat. “ I’m going to call you Bob,” said Sarah. Bob loved his new name. As for the old owners they were not bothered to look for Bob, so Bob stayed at Sarah’s house for the rest of his days.

 For free writing I wrote a story using the word apple 10x

Once upon a time in a small cottage in the wilder woods lived a happy family. Fred the Dad who was always chopping wood. Betty the Mum who was always baking, Tommy who was always in his room watching TV and lastly Carla. Carla was a mysterious girl every day she would sit under the apple tree in their backyard, reading. One sunny day Carla was reading chapter 3 of her favourite story when a small red apple broke of it’s branch and landed on her head. She picked it up and gazed at the shiny circle apple in her hand. Carla got up and ran to the garage and heaved a ladder right against the old tree. She picked all the red juicy ones and walked into her mother’s kitchen. “ Mama, can you make an apple pie for dessert?” Asked Carla. “ Sure” replied her Mum, taking the apples out of Carla’s hands.

The beautiful sky slowly turned to darkness. Carla, Fred and Tommy came into the kitchen to find a crispy apple pie. Carla’s mouth watered at the delicious pie. After an extraordinary dinner of potatoes, battered fish and a salad. Betty brought out the apple pie the family had been dying to try and she cut each person a large piece. Carla pierced her fork into the pie and popped it into her mouth. “ YUM!” said Carla. Betty gave her a big smile in return. 

Now every time an apple would land on Carla’s head She would collect all the other large red apples from the tree and get her Mother to make a delicious apple pie, for dessert.

My Speech about Animal Cruelty!!

 In Capernaum last term we were writing persuasive writing which we also used as speeches this is my one about animal cruelty! 

Hi my name is Rebecca. 

Did you know that on the other side of the world, innocent animals are losing their lives for our unnecessary needs. Do you know how many animals get poached a year? So many different animal populations are dropping by thousands! Daily poached animals are left to die that spread diseases like Ebola and SARS.

Around the world, especially in Africa innocent animals, mainly rhinos and elephants are being killed by poachers for a traditional Chinese medicine using rhino horns and elephant tusks. The process starts with a tranquilliser gun and the poachers will surround the animal and tranquillise it and they chop off the horn or tusk, leaving the animal to bleed to death. Did you know the last white rhino just went extinct in the wild. Luckily as of March 2018 there are only two female white rhino left. They are protected in the OL Pejeta conservancy in Kenya. 

It is unbelievable how many rhinos and elephants get poached every year! In Africa over 1028 rhinos and about 375 elephants were poached in 2017! This has been happening for decades and if no one stands up soon enough all of these amazing creatures will be gone. There is good news that poachers will be punished for their crimes. In the United States, two businessmen will now serve time in prison and pay hefty fines for rhino horn trafficking. Do you think this is worth slaughtering a rhino?

Poached animals that are left to die can spread diseases to humans like Ebola and SARS. Giving us horrible symptoms like aches, pains, sore throats and fevers. The animals are killed to cure us when we are sick. But instead we are just getting unwell from them.

In conclusion, I strongly believe that poaching animals is not right and should be banned because of how cruel the process is, and so many different animal populations are dropping and we are catching horrible diseases from the animal’s dead body.

More people need to stand up and help these poor creatures!

Tokyo Olympics 2020 Tinfoil Sculptures

 In Capernaum for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics our class made tinfoil people doing a sport. To make the sculptures we ripped tinfoil and shaped the piece of tinfoil into a human.
